Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico and serves as the county seat for Bernalillo County. Centrally located within New Mexico, Albquerque is a wonderful community that sits along the Rio Grande river. Albuquerque was ranked in 2007 as the 6th fastest growing city in America and has wonderful views of the Sandia Mountains that run along the eastern side of the city.

Albquerque features many wonderful community attractions including the University of New Mexico, Kirtland Air Force Base, Petroglyph National Monument and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. The Albuquerque downtown area has been revitalized and is home to restaurants, offices, residential lofts, and is a hub of activity for anyone interested in the urban social scene. There is even current discussion about the addition of streetcars that would run along the Central Avenue corridor from the west side of Albuquerque, through the downtown region, past the University of New Mexico & Nob Hill district, and extend into the Uptown Area. There have been numerous efforts to give Albquerque a nickname with the most recent being "the Q" that was promoted by the former Mayor Martin Chavez. Yet, others prefer saying "I am from Burque" ("Soy de Burque"). Regardless of the nickname you would prefer the city to go by, Albuquerque remains a great place to live!

Albuquerque is bounded by the Pueblo of Sandia along its north side, Kirtland Air Force Base to the south, the Sandia Mountains to the east, and the Petroglyph National Monument in the west. Development continues to grow at a strong pace within Albuquerque to the west, and it has also stimulated growth in nearby areas which include Rio Rancho located northwest, as well sa Los Lunas & Belen in Valencia County.
